Richard’s fitness foundation began with sports as a teenager
in both the team and individual settings. Then progressed in the
U.S. Navy where Richard served four years before coming back home
and completing degrees in Physical Education and Kinesiology at
both DeAnza College and San Jose State University.
Team Sports:
Basketball and Football. These sports taught Richard at an early
age the importance of working together to achieve a common goal...mainly
winning and in dominating fashion!
Individual Sports:
Wrestling, Track and Field, Bicycle Moto Cross Racing, Road Cycling,
Mountain Biking, and Inline Skating. These sports taught Richard
at an early age how an event could be won or lost by one’s
individual effort or lack of effort. No one to blame except for
yourself!
U.S.
Navy:
Navy Medic. This time in his life showed him the importance of not
only looking great from the outside, but also being healthy inside!
The medics, nurses, and doctors taught Richard the importance of
preventitive medicine to ensure that individuals live healthy and
happy lives. Training ethic was developed from Seal Team 5 both
in San Diego and Guam.
DeAnza College and San Jose State Univerity:
The education from both institutions have given Richard the scientific
background to combine with his fitness experience to help clients
achieve their fitness goals.
Whether it is to bring your athletic performance to the next level,
to fit better in your clothes, or you just want to add years to
your life to live longer for the loved ones in your life, rest assured
that Richard will provide his experience and knowledge to help you
achieve your goals!
“All the fitness education and experience in the world that
a trainer has means nothing to a client, unless that trainer can
share his/her knowledge and experience to the client that translates
into motivation for the client!”
