I struggled with my weight and nutrition. Through years of constant
battling with my weight, I turned a corner when I finally understood
what it takes to drop body fat and stay on a healthy nutritional
track for life…without compromising my lifestyle. I gave up
a career in the corporate field and dedicated my life to helping
others turn their corner. With the help and direction of Body Firm
trainers, not only have I grown, but hundreds of clients have achieved

Body Firm is a private personal training studio in beautiful downtown
Los Gatos. We’re surrounded by nature’s playground,
making training (indoors as well as outdoors) an option any day.

We have two physical therapists on call, we offer Active Release

your workout regime.

know that I am feeling quite full in so many ways from
our day together yesterday. I learned so much about
nutrition, in a direct, helpful and inspiring way from
Tammy. I also found Tammy's exercise instruction quite

Body Firm has also started a 2nd company, called Outdoor Fitness
Adventures. These are wellness retreats designed for corporations,
families, singles and any group in between. We target one-of –a-
kind destination locations wherein the group can experience several
fun and exciting activities during the course of a week or weekend.
Each trip is customized to the fitness and nutritional needs of
that group The adventure team leaders work with local chefs to design
healthy meals for each retreat, and offer seminars to motivate the
group on living a healthier and more active life.
At Body Firm, customer service and results are our main priorities.
Although the studio is located in the heart of town, we’re
inside a pristine courtyard, allowing for a private, comfortable,
yet motivating atmosphere.
Our professionals continually strive to keep at the forefront of
their profession, taking several continuing education courses each
year. Additionally, Body Firm offers free seminars monthly to all,
with topics such as” training for your first triathlon”
to “how to stay lean while eating on the go”. We feel
it’s just as important to educate our clients as it is to
motivate them.

Initial Evaluation:
This is an extremely important factor towards your workout
program. Your PFT will go through a detailed evaluation of
your fitness level in order to create the foundation of your
workout program. Depending on your needs, this evaluation
will include postural analysis, measurements, body fat testing,
cardiovascular and strength assessments and in some cases
neuromuscular testing and assessment.
One-on-One training, full hour:
Body Firm’s personal fitness trainers have anywhere
from 6 to 25 years of experience in the training and fitness
world. Our trainers have credentials from the highest regarded
certification companies in the Nation and most of our trainers
have either a doctorate, masters or bachelors degree in a
sports related field. You will be matched with one of Body
Firm’s amazing trainers wherein you will train for a
full hour. . Their attention, focus and program will be tailor
made to your specification so that you WILL reach your goal!
Buddy training:
Not only will you be able to train with one of Body Firm’s
exceptional trainers, you can be equally motivated by training
with a friend, significant other or simply someone who has
similar goals as you! The value in this fun hour is you will
not only achieve your goals, but you can do so at a reduced
price. This option is perfect for someone who wants full hour
training on a budget!
One-on-One training, half-hour:
Similar to the full hour workout, you will be matched with
a trainer to best help you achieve your fitness goals; however
this will be done in a reduced amount of time. Your workouts
will be intense and focused; created to obtain an “express-type”
workout just for you. This program is best suited for the
client who has high expectations with limited time.
Nutritional
evaluation and consultation:
If you are you a “professional” dieter, or simply
do not understand how you can workout so hard, yet not seem
to lose those last 10 pounds, this plan will help you succeed.
Using a 7-day dietary recall, Body Firm will analyze your
diet to help you better understand what foods may be sabotaging
your efforts to get on a permanent weight loss program. Once
the analysis is completed, Tammy, our nutritionist, will spend
an hour and ½ going over your caloric intake, balance
of fats, carbs and proteins and create weight loss strategies
to help you finally succeed! You’ll walk away with the
knowledge and confidence to live a healthy life and achieve
your weight loss (or gain) goals once and for all!
Tailor-Made menu planning:
After the nutritional assessment is completed, Tammy will
suggest and create a 2-week menu for you. This will include
the necessary calories, fats, carbs, proteins, fiber and sodium
as well as vitamins and minerals specific to YOUR goals and
needs. A detailed report will be given indicating exactly
what to eat for Breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks for two
weeks at a time. You will also be given a grocery list to
make your shopping easy! In addition, you will meet with Tammy
once every two weeks to go over progress, challenges and to
create new menus. Depending on your objective, you’ll
be supplied with recipes and will be weighed, measured and
have your body fat tested.
